Aluminium Alloy 3105 is an essentially 98% pure aluminium alloy with minor additions for strength.It is used in general sheet metal works requiring greater strength than is provided by 1000 series alloys. Most commonly this alloy is stocked in Chequered plates. It is not hardenable by heat treatment. Corrosion resistance, formability and welding characteristics are excellent.

| Alloy 3105 in F temper (as fabricated). EN 485-2:2016 specifies only a minimum tensile strength for this temper — no proof stress, elongation or hardness requirement applies, because F material is supplied without guaranteed mechanical properties. Where guaranteed properties are needed, a strain-hardened temper such as H14 should be specified. Certificates to EN 10204-3.1 are available on request. | |
